Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to the website owner. We also use similar browser storage (such as session storage) in limited circumstances — see section 6 below.

2. Cookies We Use

The table below lists the main cookies and similar technologies used on handmlaundrette.co.uk:

Exact cookie names and durations may vary depending on your browser, the tags configured in Google Tag Manager, and whether you are logged into Google services.

3. Essential Cookies

Some cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function or to deliver security features. These are required to provide the service you have requested and do not require consent under UK law.

4. Analytics Cookies

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website in a privacy-focused way. It helps us see which pages are popular and how people navigate the site.

We also use Google Tag Manager, which may load Google Analytics or similar tags to measure website usage. This data is aggregated and used to improve our website and marketing.

5. Marketing & Advertising Cookies

We use Google Ads (conversion ID: AW-17646863117) to measure whether our advertising leads to meaningful actions on our site, such as:

  • Submitting a quote or contact form
  • Clicking to call or message us on WhatsApp
  • Completing a booking or consultation request

When you submit a form on our site, we may temporarily store hashed contact details in your browser session to improve conversion measurement (Enhanced Conversions). This data is not stored in a persistent cookie.

6. Browser Storage & Third-Party Sites

Session storage: If you submit a form on our website, we may temporarily store your contact details in your browser's session storage (key: hml_ec_user_data) so that a subsequent conversion event (such as clicking WhatsApp) can be measured more accurately. This is cleared when you close your browser tab.

HubSpot booking links: Some pages link to our consultation booking page on HubSpot (meetings-eu1.hubspot.com). We do not embed HubSpot forms on our main site — our newsletter sign-up is handled by our own systems. If you follow a HubSpot link, HubSpot may set its own cookies on their domain. These are governed by HubSpot's Cookie Policy.

7. Managing Cookies

You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View what cookies are stored and delete them individually
  • Block third-party cookies
  • Block cookies from specific sites
  • Block all cookies
  • Delete all cookies when you close your browser

You can also opt out of Google's personalised advertising via Google Ads Settings or the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Please note that blocking cookies may affect the functionality of this and other websites, and may reduce our ability to measure which marketing channels are working.

8. More Information

For more information about how we handle your data, please see our Privacy Policy. If you have any questions, contact us at info@handmlaundrette.co.uk.
